Aiding Collapsed Dike In Con Khuong, Can Tho

The high tide broke at two parts of Con Khuong dike, Section 3 Song Hau, Cai Khe Ward, Ninh Kieu District, Can Tho City on Oct. 10th, 2017 (lunar Aug. 21st Rooster Year).

This flood spread over all houses around. Mr. Bui Van Day‘s house was flooded to his navel. His family is poor and his wife is often in illness and he was in broke. Now, the fishes fed in his pond  followed in the flood and some pigs were killed.

By the support of People Committee of Cai Khe Ward, Junior Ven. Thich Tam Hue and Buddhists quickly visited, encouraged and sympathized to the heaviest damage’s five houses. Each of gift portion is a cash envelop of 2 million dong, 10 kgs of rice, one barrel of vegan noodle soup, one radio of Buddha reciting, one Buddha’s rosary, one string of bead, one gift portion costs 2,23 million dong. The given money of five houses the heaviest damage costs 11,15 million dong. Seven houses of lighter damage were also in support, each house received 570,000 dong including of one cash envelop of 500 thousand dong, one barrel of vegan noodle soup, one Buddha’s rosary, one string of bead. The total given money of lighter one cost   four million.

Total the given money at Cai Khe Ward, Ninh Kieu District, Can Tho City was 15, 5 million dong which was donated by Ms. Ngan (Trang Nguyen Company) and Buddhists. That moment, Junior Ven. Thich Tam Hue confided that all of sufferrings are causes and effects law. These disasters were not caused by God that they are bad causes from previous livings of human and now those appears bad results. Hoping for good changing, we should trasfer to good ones such as vegetable eating, Buddha reciting, Triratna refuge, keeping of five precepts, etc, which could avoid five events of flood, fire, robber, confiscating, waste of wife and children, etc, these are the disaster’s causes; therefore, we should not be so sorrowful!

The trip of visit and gift giving was successful and perfect in the joyfulness all mass.
