Celebrating a Sutra Chanting for souls’ peace and freeing creatures in Binh Thanh District

“A father's deeds are as big as Thai Son mountain. A mother's love is as immense as a water source. One should always worship and respect their parents; thus please fulfill your obligations as dutiful children.”

To show gratitude and respect to the father who died, Ms. Bich Huong and her relatives did many good deeds such as setting creatures free to charity, helping the poor, offering to make Buddha statues ... to bless Father Nguyen Van Dong, died on February 23rd , 2018 (Dog Year, January 9th), 83 years old to the Buddha peace.

Receiving the invitation of Ms. Bich Huong’s family in Binh Thanh District – HCMC, in the morning of April 12, 2018 (Dog Year, February 27th,) Senior Venerable Thich Tam Hue and other Buddhists of Board of directors in Hoang Phap Pagoda came to Ms. Bich Huong's house to celebrate a 49 day sutra chanting for the peace of Mr. Nguyen Van Dong’s soul.

Then the delegation came to the Le Van Duyet tomb, No. 1 Vu Tung street ward 1- District Binh Thanh - Ho Chi Minh City to buy birds for release. The delegation bought 1,040 sparrows, birds with total amount of 9,170,000 VND by Mr. Do Nam Thong’s family, Mr. Nguyen Van Dong’s family and the support from Buddhists in delegation. The delegation chanted and recited for small beings and freed them to the nature. Everyone was happy to see the free birds hovering in the sky.
