Charity trip in Tay Ninh and Animals Releasing in Vam Co river

Accepting Mr. Trung’s invitation, the president of Tay Ninh Red Cross group, the monks in Hoang Phap monastery together with Charity Medical examination group in An Nghiep commune, Can Tho city and Buddhists in Hoang Phap monastery did medical exam, gave medicines and presents to 300 indigent family, veterans, victims of Agent Orange, the disabled, the elderly, students in the impoverished family in Ninh Thanh commune, Tay Ninh city on 1 May 2018.

Doctors from internal medicine did medical tests for the local people about some common diseases of fat-infated liver, tracheitis, fat-infected blood, optical diseases,  and gave medicines, instructing how to take those, how to prevent and cure. The amount of money 300 sets of medicines was 30 million VND, which doctors in An Nghiep commune, Can Tho city donated. In addition, the group gave 300 gifts including 10 kilos of rice, 1 carton of instant noodles, 1 T-shirt, 1 bottle of cooking oil, 1 soybean sauce, 1 Buddha necklace, 1 string of bead and 1 helmet. The total money was 900 million VND.

Thanks to Mr. Trung and the authority’s help, the group successfully did medical exam and gave presents to 300 impoverished family in Ninh Thanh commune, Tay Ninh city till 11 AM. The total money for the charity trip was 120 million VND.

In the afternoon, the group visited Tay Ninh Association Foundation for the Blind in National Highway 22B, area 1, Hiep Truong commune, Hoa Thanh town, Tay Ninh province in order to give 40 presents to 40 blind people in Tan Bien. Each 350-thousand-VND present included 10 kilograms of rice, 1 carton of instant noodles, 1 T-shirt, 1 bottle of cooking oil, 1 soybean sauce, 1 Buddha necklace, 1 string of bead and 1 envelop of 100,000 VND, which were donated by Dr. Ha, her friends, Ms. Mai, Mr. Loi. The total money for Tan Bien Association Foundation for the Blind was 140 million VND.

On the way to Hoang Phap monastery, the group visited Tay Ninh fish market and saw fish and frogs nearly killed. Sellers used the pestle to hit the fish’s head, then, they cut out their branchiae and cleaned the fin. Most terribly, the frogs’ head were cut out and bloody took out their skin. Mentioning about fish, frogs, and shrimps that were messily await to be killed, Buddhists were so touched that they used money to help them out of the death. The group took them to Vam Co river, helped them take refuge with Triple Jewels, named Buddha’s name and gave them back to the nature. The total money was 134   million VND.

We would like to give big thanks to Mr. Trung, the authority in Ninh Thanh commune, Tay Ninh city, some Anathapindika (the ones caring for orphans and the elderly) such as Mr. Lieu Hung Vy, Ngo Hung Phuong, Danh Dung, etc. doctors from Charity Medical examination group in An Nghiep commune, Can Tho city, Buddhist Tinh Trang donated a 45-seat-bus for the group, Vietnamese and foreign Buddhists supported for the charity trip to successfully finish.
