Releasing Animals and Giving Charity House in Can Tho province

“The merits of releasing animals are innumerable. Those who do that are safe from war and death, natural disasters, epidemic diseases, traffic accidents, and have long and healthy life.” said Mr. Vien Nhan, a Buddhist teacher. Their descendant will prosperously grow up. Their wish will come true. Their business will be increasingly and fruitfully developed. The Buddha and Bodhisattva are happy to their good actions. Distress, hatred, anger are relieved. Their life is peaceful and they may be born to the Pure Land, if they follow Pure Land sect, they will be born to the Pure Land.

Following Mr. Vien Nhan’ teaching, the monks in Hoang Phap monastery together with Buddhists released animals and carried out charity activities on 30 April 2018 in Can Tho province.

The group bought 5.046 kilograms of carp and catfish. Then, they rented a boat to a big river, helping them take refuge with Triple Jewels and giving them back to the nature. The amount of money was110,834,000 VND, which Mr. Lieu Hung Vy donated 25 million VND, Mr. Minh Luc donated 10 million VND, Ms. Lien My donated 5 million VND, etc. Each member in the group was so happy and this was also the way to lessen desire, anger and ignorance, and nurture compassion to living beings.

 After that, the group together with the authority in Park 5, Cai Khe commune gave Charity House to Ms. Le Thi The Chi, born in 1961, living at 108/8/6 Cach Mang Thang 8, park 5, Cai Khe commune, Ninh Kieu district, Can Tho city. Nearly a month, the house was nearly completed. The group gave some more gifts: a cupboard for worshipping, a set of inox table and chairs, a statue of Bodhisattva. The total amount of money building the house and inner furniture was 40,5 million VND, which Ms. Oanh’s aunt donated 20 million VND, Ms. Ibung donated 7,4 million VND, Ms. Bich Huong 5 million VND, Ms. My Hang 5 million VND, a Buddhist in Can Tho 3,1 million VND. Venerable Thich Tam Hue gave Dharma gifts which included in Buddha’s necklace, beads, “Huong Phap” magazines, “Tang Pham Xuan” book by Ven. Thich Chan Tinh to Ms. Chi’s family, the authority of Park 5, Cai Khe commune.

The monks and Buddhists continued the trip to Ms. Thu in Park 4, Cai Khe commune to take place the Groundbreaking Ceremony. To the plan, the house will be completed in a month and Ms. Thu and her family will have a good accommodation.

The group went back to Ven. Tam Hue’s Minh Chat sangha in Park 5, Cai Khe commune to chant sutras for souls of Buddhist Tinh Trang’s ancestors in the same areas.
