Releasing creatures in An Giang

Responding to the request of Nguyen Thi Dao’s family and the joyful acceptance of Senior Ven. Thich Chan Tinh, in the morning of June 15, 2018 (luanr May 02, year of dog), monks of Hoang Phap Pagoda came Ms. Dao’s house in Tan Phuoc hamlet, Tan My commune, Cho Moi district, An Giang province to witness the ceremony of offering Sanghas and releasing creatures.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Dien was seriously ill, despite her husband’s and children’s  dedicated care, due to old age, weak health she died on March 13, lunar the year of dog, longevity of 61. Her children lost the mother’s noble love that was regularly protected and given by an honor mother. Today is the day of the full seven weeks (49 days) of hers, her husband and children, in sincere mind, following the example of His Holiness Mahamaudgalyayana , the whole family, on the Three Jewels, organized a formal alter to invite the sangha who virtuously worship meals for them and vow for their deferentially chanted sutra. On this occasion Venerable Thich Tam Hue on behalf of Buddhist monks of Hoang Phap had some words to share with the family. Through her departure, the family understood the impermanence, cause and effect of karmic retribution. They should remember to thank the innumerable merit from their ​​parents, love each other, care for the father and instruct him and family to know the Dharma and the Three Jewels, because "Three Jewels is the most blessed rice field in life ". Try to preserve the five precepts such as no killing, no stealing, no sexual misconducts, no lying, no using intoxicants. He also gave the book "Immeasurable disaster and blessings", "Enjoying religion" composed the Venerable Thich Chan Tinh,   a Buddha necklace , a string of beads, advice of how to recite the Buddha’s name for the family and relatives around the area. The ceremony was a great success in the joy of all.

In the afternoon of the same day, the group went to Cho Moi (An Giang) and bought 1,300 kg of tilapia with the total amount of 22,100,000 VND, renting ships to Tien Giang River. After reciting the Buddha’s name, they were returned to nature in the joy of all.

They showed gratitude to the Donators, Ms. Kim Cuong in Go Vap, Ms. Dao's family, a ferry driver in the Tien River, the domestic and oversea Buddhists joined together, supported the trip successfully.
