Repentant Ceremony at Minh Chat ashram in Can Tho

On March 2nd, 2022 (Jan. 30th, Year of theTiger) Junior Thich Tam Hue and devout Buddhists of Hoang Phap Pagoda returned to Minh Chat retreat in Can Tho to attend the periodic penance rite.

At here, the participants listened to a Dharma talk  preached by Junior Thich Tam Hue.

He encouraged the listeners to do many good deeds: liberating living beings, making offerings to the Three Jewels, chanting sutras... Sutras are the teachings of a good life from the Buddha. Therefore, at the moment of chanting, our mind will be calm and peaceful. That peace creates a healthy magnetic field. This magnetic wave will mix with other peaceful waves, so we can get through the accidents in a year. The daily practice of praying for peace will keep our heart calm and peaceful, and also not create pain for others means that we are of the same nature as the Buddhas. In addition, the purpose of Buddhist learners is to take wisdom as the cause of enlightenment.

We should know how to speak kind words, do good deeds, be rich in kindness, help people understand and perform in a very natural way about the principles of cause and effect, karma. Let's avoid thinking and acting bad so that in the new year we can meet sweet fruits, good things. As a result, our life will be blessed, and be at peace at present moments.

After sharing the Dharma talk, the monks and the Buddhists performed the ritual of repenting and reciting the name of the Buddha, chanting sutras, and bowing to the Buddha.

On this occasion, the Venerable Master sent gifts of Dharma to the Buddhists who attended the repentance rite, including Lessons for Buddhists, Good examples in the East and West, and other gifts.

The rite was completed to the joy of the mass.
