Testing and Giving Presents in Soc Trang – Ca Mau

Applying the Buddha's teachings in daily life, the charity group of Hoang Phap Pagoda has practical works to bring joys to the unfortunate and the poor people.

 In the morning of  December 23rd,2017 (06th Lunar November, Roast Year), the charity group of  Hoang Phap pagoda cooperating with the medical humanitarian group of An Nghiep ward, Ninh Kieu district, Can Tho city went to Ca Mau province and Soc Trang province tested, gave free medicine and presents for the local poor.

 Overcoming the distance of nearly 500 km, we arrived to Tan Trung commune, Dam Doi district, Ca Mau province, with the help of local authorities. Our group examined and gave free medicine for 300 parts (100.000 VND /person). The total money for the medicine is 30.000.000 VND. They also shared 150 pairs of long-sightedness glasses with total 6.000.000 VND. The group offered 200 gifts that cost 194.000 for each -  including 10kg of rice, 1 shirt, 1 Buddha Chain, 1 string, 1 bottle of oil, and 1 bottle of soy sauce. Total money of these gifts is 58.200.000 VND. All of the money for medicine, long-sightedness glasses and presents at Tan Trung commune, Dam Doi district, Ca Mau province is 94.200.000 VND.

  In the afternoon, the group came to My Tu commune, Soc Trang province to give 300 presents for the poor. Luckily, the group was interested in helping the family of Thich Chieu Tuong, abbot of Tu Thien pagoda, and the administration of My Huong commune. The group put each present costs 194.000 VND including 10kg of rice, 1 shirt, 1 Buddha Chain, 1 string, 1 bottle of oil, and 1 bottle of soy sauce. Total money for these gifts is 58.200.000 VND.

 152.200.000 VND is the number of total money for this charity trip.

 In that number, the medical humanitarian group of An Nghiep ward gave 30.000.000 VND of medicine. Miss Thuy in district 12 gave 20.000.000 VND of shirt, One Buddhist gave 10.000.000 VND of shirt, and together with such Anathapindika as Miss Ngan in Thai Nguyen company, Miss Kieu in the bookstore, Miss Duc Duong, Miss Van Tan Phu, and supporters inside and outside the country.

 We would be grateful to Dr. Buoi, Dr. Cong ... with the administration of  two communes - My Huong and Tan Trung, the family of the master Chieu Thuong, uncle Viet supported 3.5 tons of cargo truck to My Huong - Soc Trang  province safely.
