The Founder 's death anniversary at Quang Duc Pagoda and freeing creatures in Can Tho Province

To commemorate the merit of the Quang Duc Pagoda ‘s Founder in Ninh Kieu District, Can Tho City on Nov. 30th, 2018 (lunar Oct. 24th, the Year of Dog), Venerable Thich Tam Hue and Buddhists of Hoang Phap pagoda purchased some of pure goods to made offerings to Quang Duc pagoda on the occasion of the 28th death ‘s anniversary of the Most Ven Buu Lai passed away. The ceremony took place in the atmosphere of solemnity, formality and entire success in the joy of everyone.

In response to the invitation of the funeral, the monks and Buddhists of Hoang Phap Pagoda came to the family to condolence, chanting sutra for the soul of Doctor Dang Van Hieu, dharma name of Tinh Hieu, (Director of Hospital in Long Phu District, Hau Giang Province), died on Nov. 29th, 2018 (lunar Oct. 23rd, 2018), life expectancy 71 years. Doctor Hieu attached to Hoang Phap pagoda in many years. During time of the retreats' courses at the pagoda, the doctor always pioneered medical examination for practitioners attending the retreat. Praying for the soul of doctor buddhist Tinh Hieu is early  born to the Pure Land. By this, Venerable Thich Tam Hue reminded everyone in the family should love, help each other. Trying to take care of the mother, encourage her and family who know and rely the Three Jewels, as well as diligently practice to have benefit of peace and contentment at the present and the future. Representatives of the delegation, Venerable Thich Tam Hue gave Buddha necklaces, chain of beads and the book "Introducing about Hoang Phap pagoda" wrote by Venerable Thich Chan Tinh.

 

After that, the delegation came Xuan Khanh market, Ninh Kieu district, Can Tho city to buy 4,016 kg of carp and catfish, worth 82,320,000 VND, then recite the Buddha's name and return them to nature Hau Giang.

Then the delegation came the Minh Chat retreat to worship the Buddha and have vegetarian meal offered by Buddhist Dieu Nguyet in Can Tho.
