Visiting Buddhist Lien Phan Funeral

Reportedly, paternal grandmother of Junior Ven. Thich Tam Vuong, Junior Thich Tam Huong, Junior Thich Tam Giai, Junior Thich Tam Nhuan passed away, Monks and Buddhists visited, lighting incense to her on March 05th, 2021 (Jan. 20th, Year of the Buffalo).

Mrs Le Thi Phan (Lien Phan) suffered serious ill and passed away on March 02nd, 2021 (Jan. 19th, Year of Buffalo), lived 84 years old.

The funeral had the presence of Junior Ven. Thich Tam Hue, monks and Buddhists and her relatives, descendant inside and outside Tien Giang province.

The Monks, Buddhists and family respectfully chanted the sutras, recited the Buddha's name, and vowed to bring merit to return her spirit to be born early in the peaceful realm.

At the rite, Junior Ven. Thich Tam Hue praised the family's gratitude and repayment and then advised during 49 days after her death, the family should create many good deeds, eat vegetarian food, recite Buddha's name, release creatures, charity etc,... to transfer these merits to her. All family members should unite, love, help together, instruct the relatives to rely on the Three Jewel. Let’s live harmoniously, guide the father to return to rely on the Three Jewels, preserve the five basic precepts of Buddhists.

Family's representative, Junior Ven. Thich Tam Giai paid his gratitude to his master who permitted the monks' visiting, chanting and seeing off relatives to the resting place. He took the vow to try to practice well so as to obey the expectations of the Master, monks and his loved ones in family.

Her coffin was buried at the family's land in Tien Giang.

On this occasion, monks sent gifts of dharma, including the books "Lessons for Kids", “Lessons Learned When Visiting Buddhist Temples” and other gifts to family members and people around.

The group had a visit to the family of three monks as Junior Ven. Thich Tam Giai, Junior Ven. Thich Tam Nhuan, Junior Ven.Thich Tam Huong is near here. The monks have lit up the incense to offer the ten directions of the Buddhas, Bodhisattvas, and the Sangha.
