Animal Release in Dong Thap

In the morning of May 6th, 2015 (March 18th, Goat Year), Jun.Ven. Thich Tam Hue, Hoang Phap pagoda’s Buddhists and Abbot Jun. Ven. Thich Phap Dang - Monastery Hue Vien pagoda – Dong Nai province combining with Nuns and Giac Ton pagoda‘s Buddhists, Sa Dec district organized animal release on Tien river.

After releasing animals back to the river, Abbot Thich Phap\r\nDang lectured the Dharma about releasing on the topic "Be merciful and\r\ndon’t kill" at Giac Ton pagoda. Buddhists should follow a permanent\r\nvegetarian, don’t kill animals to show our love with beings. When releasing and\r\nsaving animals’ life, Buddhists will increase life-span, reduce illness and\r\npractice three Dharmas: giving money, giving dharma, giving fearlessness. In the afternoon, Abbot Thich Tam Hue and Buddhists came to\r\nTan An Village, Tan Nhuan Dong Commune, Chau Thanh District, Dong Thap Province\r\ndonated more than 20 million VND to build bridges spanning the canal which\r\nreplaces the small and seriously degraded old bridge. Including the desire of\r\nsupporters to contribute to the bridge completed soon because of collecting\r\nover 123 million VND, which is too big for this poor and difficult commune.
