Buddha’s Birthday Ceremony At Tay Khanh Pagoda

In past days, though being busy with Buddhist affairs of the Vesak Ninh Binh, Junior Thich Tam Kinh and Hoang Phap monks organized activities of greeting the Buddha’s Birthday at Tay Khanh pagoda, Cao Mai village, Quang Xuong commune, Kien Xuong district, Thai Binh province.

\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Tay Khanh pagoda finished decorating of two lantern\r\ncarriages with flowers supported from Buddhists in the area and paraded from\r\nCao Mai village, to Thai Binh city of Thai Binh province.

\r\n\r\n

The parade program began at 10th, April and ended at 15th,\r\nApril of lunar calendar. This event attracted attendance of sectors, which\r\ncreated a jubilant and excited atmosphere in the Buddha’s Birthday season.

\r\n\r\n

This year, Tay Khanh pagoda did not set up the rostrum\r\ndesign; but this great ceremony still celebrated formally at the 12th, May (14th,\r\nApril lunar calendar). Before the ceremony was officially opened, Junior Thich\r\nTam Tien - Hoang Phap Monks – who had a speech on  the Sakyamuni Buddha’\r\nlife. Dharma talk had crucial meaning, which helped Buddhists reminiscence\r\nimportant characters to Buddha’s life, from which they are able to cultivate\r\nand follow His good example.

Also in this period, with encouragement and fostering from\r\nJunior Abbot, Buddhist families designed Lumbini garden at some places in the\r\nvillage. In the afternoon of same day, Junior Thich Tam Kinh had the visits and\r\nperformed the Buddha bathe rite.
