Buddhist Quiz Program during the Buddha's Birthday season | Hoằng Pháp pagoda

Following the chanting of the Great Buddha's Birthday of Buddhist calendar 2570, devout Buddhists joyfully participated in the "Buddhist Quiz" competition to review the Buddha's life and practical teachings at 9:30 a.m of April 5th, Year of the Horse.

 

Organized in a quiz format, the "Buddhist Quiz reviewed three important events in the life of  Shakyamuni Buddha: His birth, enlightenment, and passing into Nirvana. The contest was incredibly lively with enthusiastic participation from nearly 1000 Buddhists in the main lecture hall. The special prize for the winners was a Dharma treasure prepared by the organizers: a statue of new-born Buddha.

 

The competition began and ended in joy and peace for all the devout Buddhists and lay followers who participated. This was an opportunity for practitioners to reflect on and strengthen their own spiritual practice. Furthermore, the competition reminded and spread the spirit of learning and understanding the Buddha's teachings during this sacred Buddha's Birthday season.
