Can Mon Monastery: Celebrating the Venerable Master

Namo Shakyamuni Buddha.

Respectful Master!

Today, with good fortune, the Can Mon Monastery is extremely excited and truly happy to welcome the Master's footsteps back to Can Mon to spread the Dharma rain. The presence of the Master is a boundless happiness for us as well as for the Buddhist people to receive more merit and blessings.

Dear Venerable Master!

The grace of a lifetime of education leads to wisdom

The teacher's merit cannot be fully repaid in a thousand lifetimes.

We have our physical body thanks to the grace of our parents. But we have our moral and spiritual life thanks to the grace of our Venerable Master.

Dear Master, we are like the poor souls, wandering in this mortal world, for a long time we have not found our true self. If not for Master’s grace and boundless compassion, we would not have peace in the Dharma. Not knowing what else to say to Master’s great grace, in the new year we only pray to make an effort to practice and propagate the Dharma, living a worthy life as a good continuation of Master’s grace forever.

Today, before the compassionate face of the Master, we, on behalf of the four-member assembly of Can Mon-An Phap Pagoda, respectfully pay homage and celebrate the Master's birthday. We respectfully wish the Master good health, salvation for all sentient beings, the quick fulfillment of his vows, the quick fulfillment of his Bodhi fruit, a long life in this world (a long and healthy life to save sentient beings), and forever be the shade of a great tree that provides shade for us, the descendants.

Now, on behalf of the masses, we look up to the Master's compassionate grace for the sake of the younger generation to bestow a few lines of Dharma. As a result, we can use them as provisions for our practice and study, for the benefit of all living beings.
