Charitable activitiess at Quang Hung Commune - Thai Binh Province

On the morning of 12 May, 2014 (14 April of the Lunar Horse Year) Junior Ven. Thich Tam Kinh, abbot of Tay Khanh pagoda and the Buddhist monks of Hoang Phap pagoda sent meaningful presents to needy people in Quang Hung Commune, Kieu Xuong district, Thai Binh province.

In the merciful spirit of Buddhism, Vesak season is not only\r\nthe occasion to organise imposing ceremonies or programs but also show merciful\r\nheart and mutual affection from Buddhists.

\r\n\r\n

On these days charitable activities, such as helping the\r\npoor and needy patients take place all over the country. Following the Buddha’s\r\nteachings as well as that of the Hoang Phap abbot, Junior Ven. Tam Kinh and the\r\nmonks of Hoang Phap Pagoda, materialized the alms-giving conduct by giving out\r\npresents to the needy people living within the area where he was practicing his\r\nreligion. Each of the presents comprised 300,000 VN dong in cash and some food.\r\nAlthough the material value of each present was not significant, it showed the\r\ninterest in the the needy people’s situation of Buddhists.
