Charity Trip at Quoc Thoi, Ben Tre Province

 
 Junior Venerable Thích Tâm Huệ and Buddhists of Hoằng Pháp Pagoda cooperating with the non-profitable doctors of HCM City Red Cross Association came tổ Quốc Thời Pagoda, Long Thoi Town, Chợ Lách District, Bến Tre Pronvince in the morning of 9th August 2015 (25th Lunar June, Goat Year) to examine and cure diseases, gave medicine prescription, offered gifts to the poor.

Voluntary doctors from Long An, Binh Duong, HCM City also supported the group. These doctors  provided medical examination to more than 600 poor people in difficult condition, victims of Agent Orange, people with disability from communes of Long Thoi, Phu Son, Tan Thieng, Hoa Nghia


 After being cured, each was given a gift valued 291.000 VND including rice, clothes, cooking oil, soya sauce, strings of garland, DVDs.


Additionally, the elders and patients were also provided with 200 farsighted glasses 


Ending the trip, the venerable led the group to greet and had alms-offering to Quoc Thoi Pagoda’s monks.

  The charitable total is 174.650.000 VN Dong, in which the HCM City Red Cross Association contributed 40.000.000 Dong for medicine; the remainder was contributed by Ms. Yen, Ms. Oanh, Mr. Tinh Tam, Ms. Dieu Lan, Ms. Kieu, Bao Khai Minh Company and other buddhists. The transportation was sponsored by Mr. Su.
