Creature Releasing On The Tien River

In the morning of March 06th, 2016 (Lunar January 28th Monkey Year), the charity group held a big creature releasing on the Tien river.

Junior Venerable Thich Tam Hue accompanied with Buddhists were present at  Ben Tre seafood wholesale market and bought more than 5 tons  of snakehead, catfish, tilapia, …etc.. (a total amount of VND 140 million ),which were carried in a truck tot the Tien river.   After reciting Sutra, praying for Triratna refuging, the Venerables and Buddhists pleasantly released them into the river. A Germany Buddhist fo the first time returning to his wife’s country said: “ Today, people who set fishes free are happy, the fishmongers  are too, and the fishes are happier because their lives are saved.”

After releasing ceremony, the monks guided Buddhists to Quoc Thoi pagoda, a branch of Hoang Phap Temple in Cho Lach District, Ben Tre Province  to offer alms .
