Dharma Talk at Bo De Meditation Hall in Honolulu, Hawaii, United States

In the morning of Oct 31, 2016, during the Dharma talk, the Venerable Thich Chan Tinh guided the etiquette for Buddhist to the mass at Bo De Meditation Hall in Honolulu, Hawaii, United States.

In the Q&A session, he cleared up all the queries and concerns from Buddhists regarding Buddhism practicing. With simple and sincere words, the Venerable shared his seasoned experiences in practicing for Buddhists to realize the essential factors on their way to the Enlightenment. In the afternoon, the Venerable carried out the rituals for aspirants taking refuge in Triratna.

In the evening, the Venerable talked about Buddha’s teaching in Anguttara sutra of Devatānusati with trust, morals, Dharma intellection, giving and wisdom. The Buddhists should trust in Triratna, including Buddha – Dharma – Sangha, as the first step onto the Path to the liberation. Morals are the foundation for Buddhists to have happiness and ease in life. A moral practitioner can help him/herself and others perform the ethics and kind behaviors in life. Dharma intellection is the willingness of studying the Dharma which can mysteriously heal and transform suffering to happiness. In daily life, we should open our heart and mind to give and share things to others. Who can perform the Devatānusati in life will surely shine in the world.

Ending the Dharma talk, the Venerable Thich Chan Tinh sent his thanks to the participants for all they did to support the delegation fulfilling its preaching trip in Hawaii. In response, the representative of the Buddhists expressed their gratitude to the delegation passing such a large distance to turn the Dharma wheel in the area.

This is the last Dharma talk of the two-month - preaching trip in US of the Venerable Thich Chan Tinh in 2016. The delegation was expected to arrive at Hoang Phap Pagoda on Tuesday, Nov 02, 2016.
