Buddhist News of Ven. Thich Chan Tinh
Dharma Talk at St. Paul Conference hall, Minnesota, US
Update: 02/10/2017
On Sunday Oct 01, 2017, Senior Venerable Thich Chan Tinh had two Dharma talks at St. Paul conference hall, Minnesota.
In the morning, he talked about "three kinds of people that are hard-to-find in this world" (extracted from Anguttara Nikaya) including:
1. Buddha
2. Preacher of Vinaya Piá¹aka and Abhidharma Piá¹aka
3. The grater
He explained clearly why such three kinds of people were rare and precious in life. From that point of view, everyone should try the best to practice properly based on good compounded conditions.
After the Dharma talk, everyone had lunch in brethren-hood and enjoyed music show performed by local singers.
In the afternoon, the Venerable talked on the theme “Practice†in daily life of Buddhists. According to him, “practice†meant to promote oneself to a better level, in terms of body-speech-thought, three great powers, that could help one sow both good and bad deeds.
At the end of the talk, the Senior Venerable sent booklet “Tu La Tien†as Dharma gift to participants.
