Dharma Talk at Tu Tam Pagoda, Tacoma

In the evening of Sep 25, 2017, based on the invitation from devout Buddhists, Sen. Ven. Thich Chan Tinh came to Tu Tam pagoda to visit and have a Dharma talk to the new ashram there.

During the talk, he emphasized the factor of compounded conditions that create opportunity for people to meet one another regardless how far the distance is. After that, he praised the devout spirit of Buddhists in the ashram. The Senior Venerable explained about the noble image of Buddha who came and stayed in this world as the examples for Buddhists to learn and follow. When following Buddha’s teachings, it is vital for us to understand the cause and effect rule. We get what we give including the good or evil deeds. Buddhists should have firm knowledge of cause and effect rule, diligently study, practice and shy away from superstition.

After the Dharma talk, the Senior Venerable devotedly guided Buddhism etiquette to the ashram as how to properly press palm together, bowing, kowtowing ... Everyone followed his instructions with joy.

At the end of the course, he sent Dharma gift including booklets “Tu La Tien” and “Doi Nguoi” to the ashram with nearly 100 participants.
