Giving box-lunch portions on occasion the 102nd Seven-Day Retreat

The pagoda’s Charity Board, Buddhists and Trạng Nguyên Company, Minh Xuong 968 garment Company, Phuong Vi transport Company went to Thu Duc and Hoc Mon wholesale market of agricultural products to give nearly 4900 portions of box-lunch on occasion the 102nd Seven-Day Retreat of April 28th – May 05th, 2024.

Although the pagoda is busy with many affairs, the monks and Buddhists in the Retreat still save time to share meals of warmth to many people who are still struggling in outside life. This is an activity with profound humanistic meaning, showing the fine traditions of the nation.

Life needs many loving hearts that know how to sympathize and share, and be dedicated to serving everyone, because charity is voluntary for each person, depending on the ability of each individual. By accumulating small to great, one should practice volunteering regularly, it will help to cultivate compassion every day, wisdom is expanded, life is happier and more blessed. Charity comes from compassion, not for self-interest. Charity with kindness, charity is our own ability regardless of more or less, big or small.
