Medical Checkup and Gifts Offering in Daklak

In the evening of Feb. 27th, 2016 (Lunar Jan. 20th Monkey Year), the charity group of Hoang Phap pagoda visited Daklak province to conduct free medical checkups, give medicines as well as gifts to the ethnic minority.

 At the People Committee of Ea Tam Ward, Buon Me Thuot City, doctors of the charity group from An Nghiep Ward, Can Tho District and Ho Chi Minh City examined and gave medicines for 250 poor people ( each portion cost about 80.000 VND). The monks and Buddhists donated 350 gifts including rice, instant noodle, cooking oil, soy sauce (each portion costs 170.000 VND) for the poor ethnic minority. This charity event was wholeheartedly supported  by the local government and Mr. Ha, a microsurgical doctor of Lam Dong Hospital.

 

After examining, the group went to Ngoc Ban monastery, Khai Doan Pagoda, Bo De Pagoda to make offerings and had a worship to the Buddha.

The total fund-raising is 79.500.000 VND by: Mrs. Ngoc, Lien Oanh, Dieu Thuong, Dieu Tran, Mr. Tran Van Lung’s Family, mrs. Dieu Phuoc and other Buddhists. The medical charity group donated 20.000.000 VND for medicines.
