Mendicant Monks

 Roses are pinned to shirts

Ullambana Festival

Lotuses are in perfect fragrance

Buddha is inconceivable.

 

Bodhi is in place

Enlightenment belongs to the mind

Uo and down pertaining to human world 

Becomes turtle hair, rabbit horns.

 

Ignoring precepts and law,

Treading on grass in all directions

For long journey walk of the mendicant monks

Focusing on the right and ceasing the wrong. 

 

Not because of toil,

Even the Dharma should be relinquished, how much more so the non-Dharma.

They do unconceivable merit,

They do inconceivable transformations.

 

Being in endless cycle of reincarnation,

Being in weary knees and gray hair,

They embrace countless paths of sorrow,

And merging deep into consciousness.

 

The moment the breath ceases,

The form vanishes,

Karma stands right here,

Which lead you the way forward.

 

Having passed the ways of the world,

Ignoring the worldly affairs,

Their in and out breaths 

Take them out for a stroll.

 

That dream will not be waited,

The three worlds are full and empty though,

The past and future being existed

They forever keep enlightenment and recitation .
