Offering Incense to Memorize 60th Death of Chief Master Minh Dang Quang

In the afternoon of Feb. 28th, 2014 (January 29th, Horse year), on the occasion of 60th anniversary of Late Master Minh Dang Quang’s death, Ven. Thich Chan Tinh, the monks and Buddhists of Hoang Phap pagoda came to honor offerings and prostrate the Chief Master at Monastery Minh Dang Quang, District 2.
It is known that, after ten years cultivating and\r\npracticing, He had founded the Vietnam’s Mendicants Buddhism for over 20\r\nViharas, took refuge hundreds of Monks, Nuns and ten thousands of Buddhists. On\r\nFeb. 1st, Horse year (1954), on the way of propagation from Sa Dec via Vinh\r\nLong to Can Tho, he was suddenly in event and disappeared. Since then, the Sect\r\nof Mendicants has taken this day to be Memorial Day of His death, as well as\r\nbeing shown the virtue gratitude for setting up the System Sect.
After rising offerings and prostrating the Late Master, the\r\nSenior Ven. and Monks were welcomed warmly by Most Ven. Thich Giac Toan who\r\nwere on behalf of the System Sect of Mendicants. On this occasion, Hoang Phap\r\nPagoda offered 1500 Dharma gifts including DVDs of “The Path of Enlightenmentâ€\r\nand “The Paths of Propagation†to attendants in the official ceremony on Lunar\r\nFeb. 1st and 6000 VCDs of “The Paths of Propagation†to all faithful believers.
