One-Day Retreat at Tinh Luat Pagoda in Texas, United States

On Sep 18, 2016, the Venerable Thich Chan Tinh directly conducted the One-Day Retreat at Tinh Luat Pagoda in Texas, United States.

In the morning session, the Venerable guided the participants the etiquette for Buddhist and walking recitation method (i.e. how to recite Buddha Amitabha’s name while walking) as well as explained the meaning of taking refuge in Triratna, Buddhism fundamentals and Buddhists’ duties/responsibilities. The program was followed with the Q&A session, in which the Venerable cleared up all the concerns and queries from Buddhists of practicing.

In the afternoon, the mass practiced the walking recitation under the guidance of monks from Hoang Phap Pagoda.

Ending the retreat, the Venerable sent his blessings to the participants and encouraged them diligently cultivating Buddha’s path to have ease and happiness both in this life and the after-lives. He also sent Dharma gift to Tinh Luat Sangha as a symbol of gratitude for their kind support as well as the close relationship between Hoang Phap Pagoda and Tinh Luat Pagoda
