One-Day Retreat for Students (May 24th, 2026, part 1)

Welcoming joyfully the Buddha's Birthday celebration on Sunday, May 24th, 2026, Hoang Phap Pagoda organized innovative cultivation programs, such as the Candle Lighting Ritual, The new-born Buddha bathing ritual; a Dharma talk preaching by Junior Thich Chon Khanh; The "Understanding the Buddha to Love" eloquence competition, attracting over 600 students.

 

In the early morningwalking meditation, the students welcomed the new day in the peaceful atmosphere of Hoang Phap Pagoda. Following that chanting session was a Dharma talk on the theme "The Art of Living from the Buddha's Teachings," preached by Junior Thich Chon Khanh. The Venerable explained in detail, by making good vows, complying with and practicing the Buddha's teachings in the Great Vesak celebration, the young will become increasingly steadfast in the face of difficulties and capable of transforming the modern age ailments. Thus, the more young attendees practice the teachings, the more resilient they become in the face of difficulties and the closer they feel to the loving energy of the Buddha. For He once taught, "Whoever sees the Dhamma, sees the Tathagata; whoever sees the Tathagata, sees the Dhamma."
