Ho Chi Minh City—Early on September 12, 2026, streams of devotees gathered at Hoang Phap Pagoda to pay homage to the sacred Indian Green Marble Shakyamuni Buddha statue prior to its transfer to the United States.
Traversing from its origin in India, the green marble statue is temporarily hosted at Hoang Phap Pagoda before crossing the Pacific for permanent enshrinement at Am May Monastery in San Diego, California.
Buddhists and visitors are invited to venerate the sacred statue on September 12–13, 2026.
