Đến cửa chùa rũ bỏ trần duyên tính xấu
Vào điện Phật giữ gìn mối đạo tâm lành.
Please use the right name of Lunar July
Update: 16/08/2023
Lunar July is usually called the month of CO HON (lost spirits), does it mean that all who passed away are lost spirits?
If CO HON 's are the ones without homes, is it too careless? Because there were too many soldiers and servants who sacrificed their lives for the country, for whom their names and where they are lying have not been clarified yet. And there were many people who lost their lives because of wars and accidents (on land, on air, below the ocean…) whose bodies have not been found yet and their tombs have not been built.
If our veins run the same blood, if we have hearts, please don’t use the words CO HON to call them. And please don’t isolate them, treat them as scare, bad luck during the Lunar July.
If we have the right knowledge, deep inside our hearts we need to enlighten ourselves, to see “the critical thinking of Vietnam and our Buddhism” across the periods which bring the beauty of Humanities during The Lunar July – Season of Ullambana”.
Above the beliefs of theocracy, Buddhism raises Pious into another level, turning it into the breath of love, which is described by Ullambana-sutra.
Arya Maudgalyayana saving his mother stands for the waking up of the children’s conscience in today 's and future’s society.
Our parents are “being imprisoned without thinking about guilts”, and if we want to save them, and help them, with our ancestors, to go beyond the cycle of death and rebirth, we need to “Maintain Trisarana and Pancasila”. Isn’t that the right way of signaling our parents effectively?
The Lunar July has come once again, please use the right name, and give back its beautiful meaning.
Modern society is the one which knows how to overcome the ghostly theocracy, to exploit the exclusive and positive values of morality, culture, love… in order to build a greater world.
Wish everyone a beloved Lunar July with humanities. Let all be directed to “Being grateful” to our parents, our ancestors, by the most kind and realistic points.
