Preaching at Hoa Phuc pagoda – Ha Noi

In the evening January 8th, 2015 (Lunar November 18th Horse Year), Super Venerable Thich Chan Tinh came to Hoa Phuc pagoda – Hoa Truc village – Hoa Thach commune – Quoc Oai district – Ha Noi capital city on the “One-Day Cultivation” course.

At 1:45 pm, after three series of Prajna bells and drum\r\nresound, nearly of 1000 Buddhists in the hall held their hands and recited\r\nAmitabha Buddha’s name to welcome the Ven. to the preaching hall.

The Ven. had Dharma talk on the theme “The right view about\r\nPure Land sect”

Through the Dharma talk, Ven. helped Buddhists to have right\r\nknowledge about the Pure Land sect. Pure is stainless. Land is a place.\r\nPractice Pure Land sect helps purify the soul and be reborn in the Western\r\nParadise. To reach to Pure Land, we must purify our soul firstly from now.\r\nEvery Buddhist should cultivate three karmas of action, speech, and thought.

Buddhism is not only for the old, the young but also for all\r\nin society. People who cultivate recite Buddha’s name must apply reciting\r\nBuddha’s name to right background, right age. The old recite Buddha’s name to\r\nvow to be reborn. The young recite Buddha’s name to vow health, peace, wisdom,\r\netc. Especially every Buddhist should be in the habit of thinking Buddha\r\neverywhere at any time. When we think of Buddha, we will avoid bad acts to make\r\nmany good actions.

His teachings are the rain of Dharma which waters barren\r\nminds of every Buddhist. After the Dharma talk, the Ven. witness the closing\r\nceremony of Buddhist trip in 2014 and award certificates of merit for Buddhists\r\nwho helped build Hoa Phuc pagoda and contribute to prosperous Buddhism. They\r\nmade an offering with pious intent to contribute amount (property), object,\r\nstrength for propagation of Monks.
