Preaching at Minh Hiep pagoda, Dong Nai province.

In response to the invitation form Junior Venerable Thich An Quang, in the morning of Nov. 13th, 2016 (lunar Oct.14th, 2016) Senior Ven. Thich Chan Tinh had a dharma talk at Minh Hiep pagoda, Suoi Cat Commune, Xuan Loc District, Dong nai Province.

In his speech, he reviewed the Sakyamuni Buddha’s history, from which he clearly explained to Buddhists that everybody in this life was from different causes and effects. Happiness or sufferings, wealth or poverty is created by human’s individual, not by Gods nor any deities. Hoping to have a decent body and appearance, we must cultivate with release, joy, avoiding hatred, envy; hoping prosperity, we must practice the donation and alms offerings. Being a Buddha’s child, we must believe deeply in the cause and effect law, and should not be superstitious to lose money and receive bad results.  

Because of the condition of many previous cultivation incarnations, when the Buddha travels around four gates of the citadel, he enlightened and cultivated only in short time, attaining the Buddha’s fruit. We currently cultivate as a planter. When there is enough time, trees will bloom flowers and produce fruits. We should be patient, meanwhile, we must practice both blessing and wisdom. On his preachment, he encouraged all Buddhists who should vow to become propagationers for everlasting and developable religion.

In the end, he gave each a VCD “Toward the Light”, a book “Right Person, Right Deed.”
