Preaching Dharma at Thien Hoa Pagoda- Binh Duong Province

Dated early Feb, 28th 2016 (Lunar Jan, 21th Monkey Year), Senior Venerable Thich Chan Tinh had a talk at Thien Hoa pagoda, located at 167/2 Thu Khoa Huan Street, An Thanh Ward, Thuan An Town, Binh Duong province, by the invitation of the abbot nun Thich Nu Hue.

Firstly, the Ven. highly praised the Buddhists’ cultivation spirit to  arrange their work, family and relationship business to gather and attend on the first one-day retreat in Lunar Monkey Year.

 In Samyukta Nikaya sultra, Series I, the Buddha taught: â€œThere are four kinds of people in life:

First, people from the dark to the dark.

Second, people from the dark to the light.

Third, people from the light to the dark.

Final, people from the light to the light.

People born in this world, some lived in wealth and happiness, others lived in misery and poverty. Being happy or miserable came from bad thoughts, bad words, bad behaviors. If one knew to practice good karma, they would achieve happiness or otherwise. Likewise, each of us should know that our present as well as future were decided by ourselves.

 Besides, from the Buddha’ lessons, we should be aware that each person’s life. Whether being happy or not did not base on being requested or fromany supernatural power, but on cultivation. Cultivating here was fixing, improving our words, behaviors, thoughts being nicer and more purifying day by day. When we did good thing and spiritual purity, our life would be peaceful and blissful without praying hard,” those contents were said by the Venerable.

After Dharma talk, the Ven. gave Buddhists the DVDs of ‘ The Wheel of Dharma Law”
