Preparations for the ceremony known as ‘The Buddha attained the way’ at Hoang Phap pagoda in Cambodia

Update: 26/01/2015
Cambodia is the territory which has been named ‘The Turret Temple Kingdom’. The assignment of such a name comes from the reason that this country has a bold cultural and architectural outline, especially adopted from such religion as Hinduism and Buddhism. Along its history, these various currents of religious ideas have strongly affected and influenced Cambodians’ physical as well as spiritual ways of life. Although deeply and long-standing affected, the understanding leading to the practice of the religons and following the Buddha’s teachings are still limited, especially with those who live in areas far away from residential quarters.

Preparations for the ceremony known as ‘The Buddha attained the way’ at Hoang Phap pagoda in Cambodia

Having understsood the importance of universalisation of\r\nBuddhism to human life, Hoang Phap pagoda in Cambodia has been and is trying\r\nits best to help Cambodians know and clearly master the important starting\r\npoints of time in Buddhism through such events as Buddha’s birthday, Buddha’s\r\nattaining the way, Ulambana, etc.

In such a spirit and with the instructions of Senior\r\nVenerable Thich Chan Tinh, Abbot of Vietnam Hoang Phap pagoda, Junior Ven,\r\nThich Tam Truc, Abbot of Cambodia Hoang Phap pagoda, a festival to commemorate\r\nthe day when the Buddha ataining the way was held on the evening of Jan. 27,\r\n2015 (Dec. 08, 2015, lunar year of the Horse). Although the material facilities\r\nwere still limited, it was thanks to their inner wishes to realise the\r\npreaching and the benefits for living beings together with the assistance from\r\nthe group called ‘Hoang Phap pagoda Dharma Guardian Group’ and the local\r\nBuddhists that the preparations for the festival were almost finished, which\r\npromised a candle-lighting night to commemorate the solemn and imposing day\r\nwhen Bodhisattva Siddhartha attained the way. Hoping that such endeavour will\r\nintroduce much or less the spiritual vital source inherent in each of Cambodian\r\ncitizen but covered by wordly dust.-
