Prostrating to the Five Hundred Names of Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva on the Anniversary of Her Enlightenment.

In celebration of Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva's enlightenment (June 19th, Lunar Calendar), a lot of Buddhists gathered at Hoang Phap Pagoda to attend a prostration rite honoring the names of Bodhisattva Avalokitesvara on the evening of July 28th, 2026.  

The monks chanted up the Bodhisattva titles first in the main part of the ritual; the attendees repeated the name "Namo Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva" together. Avalokiteshvara Bodhisattva is the symbol of compassion, love, support and protection for all sentient beings. She is the embodiment of compassion who listens to the suffering cry of all species to find salvation. When reciting the name Avalokitesvara, we will arouse boundless love in our hearts, calm our minds and feel the peaceful energy emanating from Her.

 

The ritual ended in the joy of the mass.
