Repentance celebration on June, 18th (Monkey Year)

As usual, before starting the repentance celebration, Junior Venerable Thich Tam Thuc, the monk of Hoang Phap pagoda, shared the mass a talk on the topic “Answers to the lifeâ€
In the Angutara-Nikaya, Buddha taught that there are 4 types of people in life:
1. The first one is according to the line: only for those who lives for five desires, money, beauty, fame and wealth, delicious meals and sleep well. In the other words, following to the six gunas which is appearance, sound, smell, taste , emotional, law, from which, they create karmas then propelled into birth and death called upon line.
2. The second type is inversely line: It ia about those who practice Buddhism at home, or whether left home but gave up the five desires and look forward to the way of enlightenment and liberation is called against the current.
3. The third class is stopping: it means they cannot be in rebirth and redeath. They cannot come back to this world which means attained the Ananagaham, non-coming fruit.
4. The fourth one is passing the current and standing on the ground: only for the Arhat, who have attained the unborn and do not relate to the circle of rebirths.
Living beings from many lifetimes following the line of birth and death, in sensual enjoyment, practice wrong things but do not realize that they are coming to the evil paths. Now, you are very lucky when you get body in the Three Refuges and learn about Buddhism. People who practice Buddhism like us look like boats going upstream. Whether going upstream will encounter many difficulties but if we will find out peaceful land, with perseverance and persistence, we will reach to peaceful and secure port.
After the lecture, the Buddhists enter the repentance celebration.
