Repentance Ceremony.

Thousands of Buddhists gathered at Hoang Phap pagoda to attend the repentance ceremony on the afternoon of June 11th, 2014 (Lunar May 14th Horse year).

At 6:00 pm, Buddhists listened a Dharma talk before the\r\nceremony started. Senior Ven. Thich Tam Truc, the abbot of Hoang Phap\r\npagoda (a branch in Cambodia), the monk of Hoang Phap pagoda, shared with\r\nthe Buddhists some issues about practice experiences.

\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

On the topic “Cultivating the blessing and the\r\nwisdom”, he instructed the most basic things in practicing the\r\nblessing and the wisdom on how to cultivate the Buddha’s teachings correctly or\r\nincorrectly. Buddhists sometimes had not searched for and learned His doctrine;\r\ntherefore, they falsely practiced the Buddha’s teachings wrongly. The bad\r\ncause will certainly lead to the unexpected result. Because of this\r\ntopic, the Senior Ven. clarified a lot of doubt and point out the mistakes\r\nthat Buddhists often make.

After the Dharma talk, Buddhists uniquely in mind began\r\nthe repentance session of reciting the Buddha’ names.

\r\n\r\n

At 8:00 pm, the ceremony ended and the Buddhists\r\nrecited the five commandments of laymen together.
