Repentance ceremony on Feb. 14th, year of the Horse

The regular repentance ceremony and Dharma talk at Hoang Phap Pagoda was attended by a large number of male and female Buddhists, devotees on April 01st, 2026 (on Feb. 14th, LC).

The Abbot of Bao Quang pagoda, Dong Nai, Junior Thich Tam Luan had a Dharma talk titled “Following in the footsteps of Sudhana (Good Wealth)” to the attendees before the ritual. The monk preached practitioner Sudhana 's journey of seeking enlightenment with spiritual advisors, who were Bodhisattvas in the chapter on Entering the Dharma Realm of the Avatamsaka Sutra. 

 

He explained that "Sudhana" means a treasure of goodness, signifying the adequate nature of the mind, which is full of merit and the potential for enlightenment. From this, the monk advised practitioners to diligently accumulate merit by practicing the conduct of Bodhisattvas, free from discrimination and attachment to external things. Thanks to this, each practitioner can find inner peace, tranquility, and awaken their inner wisdom.

 

The repentance ceremony took place after the Dharma talk at 07: 00 p.m.
