Second Day at The Retreat at Bat Nha Pagoda in South California - United States

On Oct 16, 2016, the second day of the Retreat at Bat Nha Pagoda, the Venerable Thich Chan Tinh had a Dharma talk and guided how to recite Buddha’s name to the mass in South California, US.
In the morning, he reviewed the meaning of taking refuge in Triratna and fundamentals of Buddhism to Buddhists. Besides, he also cleared up all the concerns and queries from the audience in the Q&A session.
In the afternoon, he shared about the DevatÄnusati including trust, morals, Dharma intellection, giving and wisdom that lay Buddhists should preserve in daily life. Trust means believing in Buddha's teaching as the way to happiness and liberation, in Triratna as the greatest shelter in life. Morals are the fundamentals, the tool helping us live with joys and safeness. Giving out concerns to tolerance practicing and detachment in mind. Wisdom is the torch light guiding us to the Path of happiness and Enlightenment. Those who preserving DevatÄnusati are the most illuminative and happiest ones in the world.
After that, the mass rehearsed the walking recitation under the guidance of Venerable Thich Chan Tinh.
Ending the session, the Venerable expressed his gratitude to the Master Monk Thich Tri Nguyen, the abbot of Bat Nha pagoda, for his facilitation to the delegation during its preaching trip in South California with fulfillment. He also sent his best wishes to the all the participants.
