Summer Retreat 2025 at Dang Phap Pagoda Named Returning to the Temple – Listening to Understand, Looking Back to Love

Dang Phap Pagoda located at Doan Ket commune, Bu Dang district, Binh Phuoc province officially held Summer Retreat 2025 for nearly 250 young people inside the local area to attend from 21st-26th of June, 2025.

 In the retreat’s opening ceremony, the Organizers were honored to welcome Senior Thich Dong Tan - Vice Director Board/ DB cum Head of Buddhist Education Board of Binh Phuoc province, Head DB of VBS of Bu Dang district; Senior Thich Minh Loi - Head of Buddhist Guidance Board of Binh Phuoc province, Head DB of VBS of Phu Rieng district, Binh Phuoc; Junior Thich Thien Tu - Vice DB cum Head of Propagation Board of VBS of Bu Dang district; Junior Thich Duc Nhan - Chief of Office Head of DB of VBS of Bu Dang district; Junior Thich Tam Quang, Abbot of Dang Phap Pagoda, Head of the Organizers, the monks of inside and outside at the local to witness.

 

The retreat begins with daily morning chanting, done by physical exercise, combined with Buddhist teachings, taught life skills, and many other useful experiential activities. In particular, the Refuge Ceremony was held for nearly 200 learners who vowed to take refuge in the Three Jewels.

 

The retreat closed in a solemn atmosphere, saving meaningful lessons in the attendees’ mind, as well as sowing good seeds in their memories to prepare them for the journey ahead.

 

The organizers presented the book gifts of Buddhist comics named: Filial Elephant and Lessons of Gratitude compiled by the Most Master of Hoang Phap Temple for each participant before leaving the pagoda.
