Supporting cancer patients to attend One-Day Practice

On July 23rd, 2023 at Hoang Phap pagoda, monks and Oncology Club assisted 60 patients of Cancer Hospital gathering at the pagoda to attend One-Day Practice.

After having breakfast, Buddhists came to the lecture hall of area C to begin reciting the Buddha's name, walking meditation and chanting precepts.

After the rite, Nun Thich Nu Chuc Hieu - Abbess of Bo de monastery in California, U.S came to the lecture hall to share a dharma talk named Listen to inner voice to the mass.

After reciting the Buddha name in the afternoon, Buddhists practiced sitting meditation quietly. The day of practice ended in the joy of participants.

Before patients leaving the pagoda, Junior Thich Tam Hue gave gift portions to 60 patients. Each patient received 100,000VND; 20 blind people, each gift includes an envelope of 50,000 VND and 5 kg of rice, and with Buddha necklace.

The total amount to 60 patients is 8,400,000 VND supported by Ms. Tuyet Ngoc ‘s Group and her friends.

He praised the patients' difficult overcoming spirit, although the body was sick but the mind was not, and returned to the pagoda to cultivate. He advised them to take refuge in Three Jewels, diligently recite Buddha's name, study and practice Buddha's teachings, and will have a peaceful and happy life.
