Supporting cancer patients to attend One-Day Practice

On August 04th, 2024 Charity Board and Oncology Club at Hoang Phap pagoda assisted 75 patients of Cancer Hospital and Blind people gathering at the pagoda to attend One-Day Practice.

After having breakfast, Buddhists came to the lecture hall of area C to begin reciting the Buddha's name, walking meditation and chanting Buddhists basic precepts.

Next, all Buddhists listened to a Dharma talk named Three-Jewel permanency preached by Junior Thich Tam Duc.

Finishing reciting the Buddha name in the afternoon, Buddhists practiced sitting meditation quietly. The day of cultivation ended in the joy of participants.

On behalf of the Charity Board, Junior Thich Tam Hue gave gift portions including envelopes and milk to 90 patients and the blind.

The amount of 25,500,000 given by the donors, such as Giap Thi Kim Anh's family supported 10,000,000 VND; 2 Buddhists supported 7,500,000 VND; Ms. Dieu Huyen supported 3,500,000 VND; Buddhist supported 1,500,000 VND; Tuyet Ngoc (3,000,000 VND).

The monk praised the patients' difficult overcoming spirit, although the body was sick but the mind was not. He advised them to take refuge in Three Jewels, diligently recite Buddha's name, study and practice Buddha's teachings, then will have a peaceful and happy life.
