The 45th Practical Dharma Program in the 108th Seven-Day Retreat
Update: 03/05/2026
On Sunday, devout Buddhists came to the temple to register and receive their ID badges to officially participate in the 108th Seven-Day retreat from May 4th to 10th, 2026. According to, Abbot of Linh Quy Phap An Temple (Lam Dong), Senior Thich Minh Thanh returned to Hoang Phap pagoda to preach a dharma talk in the 45th Practical Dharma Program.
In explaining the Four Noble Truths as realized by the Enlightened Noble Ones — the four truths concerning human existence and the cycle of birth and death, the Senior clearly pointed out details that we need to listen to and understand suffering. The more we listen, understand, and internalize suffering, the more we will strive to find ways to avoid it, escape it, and ultimately, eradicate it completely.
The lecturer emphasized each practitioner must see impermanence as terrifying, worrying, and frightening. From this, they will realize the five clinging aggregates are suffering, and the only path to liberation from ignorance, craving, or self-attachment (the cause of suffering) is the Noble Eightfold Path (the path to liberation from suffering). As a result, sacred wisdom arises, seeing the true nature of impermanence, detachment from craving, and liberation from the five clinging aggregates—the ultimate goal on the path of practice (the cessation of suffering).
