The 4th Day of Huong Phap Branch 's Teenage Retreat, Cu Chi

In the mind of spreading the Dharma, as well as wishing to support monks and nuns to have a facility to organize retreats, on June 8th, 2022, Huong Phap Branch’s the retreat entered the fourth day. After breakfast, young learners gathered in the Main Hall to listen to a Dharma talk from Ven Thich Nu Huong Nhu, Lecturer at the Vietnam Buddhist Academy in HCMC, Abbot of Thien Quang Pagoda, Binh Duong with the theme "Give me a ticket to childhood".
Everyone has a childhood with many innocent things and naughty games. That childhood is nurtured with fairy tales, outdoor folk games so that we can mingle with nature, get close to each other, and harmonize with the community….Today, accompanying with the development of information technology and socialization, childhood gradually lose old games; Instead, they sit quiet in the room, fascinated by the virtual world of games, social networks, watching movies, ...Children's exposure to many products of violence and war has sowed negative and agitated seeds in their minds, producing many consequences of depression, violence, and then affecting their brains and psychology.

In the afternoon, little learners gathered at Dharma Hall 1 in the Dharma Wheel building to attend the ceremony of taking refuge in the Three Jewels, officially becoming a Buddhist. On behalf of the present monks, Most Thich Chan Tinh of Hoang Phap Pagoda transmitted Three Refuges and Five Precepts to his disciples. Receiving Three Refuges is taking five precepts, five basic moral principles to help them have the foundation of a pure and noble life in the future. The Master hopes that little learners always will go to the temple to study and practice the Buddha's teachings, become good citizens, good fathers, mothers, wives and husbands
In the evening, little practitioners listened to funny and funny stories taught by Junior Thich Tam Duoc. The monk hopes the children will absorb the lessons gently, easily going deep into their hearts. Those are warning words about love when they are not old enough; the attaching smart electronic products, games, social networks; the practice of not killing creatures, forming in children the love for sentient beings. At the end of the talk, he and all learners recited five precepts and the verse of Dhammapada:
“Do not do evil actions
diligently doing good things
keep your mind pure ..."
After that, all learners participated in a cultural exchange program with famous artists.
