The Ceremony of Taking Refuge at Dien Quang pagoda, Bac Ninh province.

On January 11th, 2015 (Lunar November 21st Horse Year), after the ceremony of taking refuge at Tieu Giao pagoda, Ha Long city, Quang Ninh province, Senior Venerable Thich Chan Tinh came to Dien Quang pagoda, Guot village, Viet Hung commune, Que Vo district, Bac Ninh province to celebrate Triratna refuge ceremony for Buddhists here according to invitation of the Abbot Junior Ven. Thich Tam Quan.

After stabilizing their seat, people welcomed Monks to the\r\npreaching hall to transmit the Triratna refuge and five precepts. This is the\r\nmost important ritual. As a result, they become a true Buddhist.

At the first of transmit ceremony, the Ven. carefully\r\nexplained the meaning of Triratna refuge and five precepts. With simple words\r\nabout basic concepts as taking refuge, Triratna, repentance, five precepts,\r\netc, people understand the responsibility of Buddhist at home.

With the hope that Buddhists have firm belief in teaching of\r\nthe Tathagata in general and the Pure Land sect. in particular, he shared\r\nstories to show that learning Dharma, taking refuge must rely on right\r\nawareness. Thus, Buddhists will obtain the best results in cultivation. In the\r\ncontrary, they will have the wrong views and get suffering.

Although the weather was bad with drizzling rain and freeze,\r\nwith all respect, everybody happily received his teaching.

The ceremony ended in the joy of all.
