The traditional festival of Co Tan temple (Hai Phong City)

The traditional festival of Co Tan temple welcomed the participation of local authorities, Buddhists and residents from all over. Junior Thich Tam Trieu accompanying local officials, residents, and Buddhists visited the martyrs' cemetery to promote the spirit of "drinking water, remembering the source" to the heroic soldiers. Next, a musical program officially took place, opening the festival with the participation of performing art groups and local people.

The solemn ceremony at 8:45 a.m. of April 12th, 2026 was witnessed in the present by the Sangha: Junior Thich Thanh Chi - Member of the Director Board of Hai Phong City’s Buddhist Sangha, Abbot of Quang Nghiem Pagoda; Junior Thich Thanh Quang - Abbot of Bao Minh Pagoda; Junior Thich Giac Vien - Abbot of Pho Da Son Pagoda; and Junior Thich Tam Trieu - Instructor of Co Tan Pagoda. Representing the Tran Lieu ward government, Mr. Le Van Manh, Head of the residential area, briefly recounted the history of the formation of Co Tan temple.

 

Junior Thich Tam Trieu accompanying the mass offered incense to Buddha to pray for a peaceful world, prosperous country, content and happy all beings. At the end of the ceremony, the mass had together a warm luncheon with the organizers. The traditional festival of Co Tan temple was successfully completed to the joy of the participants.
