Visiting and gifting patients in hospitals of 115, Cho Ray, Pham Ngoc Thach.

In the morning of April 28 th, 2014 (Lunar, March 29th, Horse Year), in the instruction to Abbot Senior Ven. Thich Chan Tinh, the monks and Buddhists of Hoang Phap pagoda visited poor patients in three hospitals of 115, Cho Ray, Pham Ngoc Thach in Ho Chi Minh City.

At 115 hospitals, Hoang Phap pagoda and The hospital’s Red\r\nCross came at sight to offer 31 gifts to cancer patient and the rest 170 gifts\r\nwere granted to poor patients. They stay at departments such as neurosurgeon,\r\ninternal-surgical care, cardiology A + B, internal digestion, etc, which is\r\nworth of 150,000VND each, including 2 blocks of fresh milk and 1 envelope\r\n(100,000 VND). There were 200 gifts worth 30 million VND delivered 200\r\npatients. Twenty- six Amitabha chanting audio equipments and some strings of\r\nbeads were sent to the patients.

At 11:30 a.m, the group had lunch at the Buddhist’s home.\r\nThe venerable were very happy when witnessing this Buddhist’s family\r\nenthusiastically responded to welcome the Vesak Day as the master’s instruction\r\n“All welcome the Tathagata; households greet Vesakâ€. A portray picture of the\r\nBuddha was born in Lumbini, and a flag and gonfalon were hung in the front the house.\r\nMrs. Minh, who 80 years old was also hanging a flag at the front porch.

At 13:30 p.m in Cho Ray hospital, 200 gifts worth 30 million\r\nVND were donated to poor patients of leprosy, hepatitis, oncology and\r\nhematology, etc.

At 15:00p.m, the delegation was present at the Pham Ngoc\r\nThach hospital. 200 gifts worth 30 million VND were offered to poor patients of\r\nchildren, HIV, drug resistant TB, surgical emergency unit C and recuperate unit\r\n3. The donation, though, a little money to patients, some burst into tears when\r\nthis was the first time they had been given gifts and encouraged to endure\r\ntreatment and recite the Amitabha Buddha which to overcome a terrible disease.

600 gifts were given poor patients of 3 hospitals in this\r\ncharity. Ven. Thich Tam Minh, Buddhists of Hoang Phap pagoda in Australia,\r\nBuddhist Nhu Lu, and all domestic and international Buddhists, supported this\r\ndonation charity. As planned, charitable missions would apply to remain\r\nhospitals in the coming days.
