Visiting Hoa Nghiem Monastery and Delivering Dharma Talk at Như Lai Thien Tu, San Diego - California

In the morning of Oct 09, 2017, Senior Venerable Thich Chan Tinh left Minh Dang Quang Pagoda for Hoa Nghiem Monastery in Santa Ana, California to visit The Most Venerable, abbot Thich Phap Tanh.

The monastery is located on a 3-acre plot of land with large parking lot that can serve 250 cars at any time. One more special surprise for visitors: Buddha statue at the pagoda has been made by the abbot himself. After the familiar meeting with the Most Venerable, Senior Venerable Thich Chan Tinh kept on his trip to Nhu Lai Thien Tu pagoda in San Diego, California for a Dharma talk in the afternoon.

Exactly at 18:30, he lectured on right mindfulness in practice to the mass at Nhu Lai Thien Tu. According to him, each practitioner can choose proper practicing method with mindfulness in body, speech, and mind. When these three great powers are pure, good value, benefits and karmas are generated. Vice versa, impure great powers promise evil and painful results in future. From that point of view, everyone should diligently practice by purifying body, speech and mind so that each day is practice day with ease, goodness and happiness.
