Wedding Ceremony at the pagoda.

As July draws to a close, bringing with it occasional showers, the earth and all things become even more vibrant. This moment marks the beginning of a love that has been nurtured and looked after over the years with genuine affection, finally blossoming and bearing fruit today amidst the joy of both families and under the witness of the Three Jewels.

Hoang Phap Pagoda solemnly holds a wedding ceremony for the groom Nguyễn Quang Sáng (dharma name: An Thông) and the bride Lê Thị Diễm Hằng (dharma name: Diệu Hưng) on the Monday morning of July 27th, 2026.

 

In the solemn atmosphere of the main hall at 09:00 a.m., the Sangha arrived to witness the ceremony along with the presence of their relatives. The couple paid homage to the Triple Gem, the parents, and expressed gratitude to the revered Monk, who is a firm spiritual refuge on the cultivation path first, and then a manifestation of filial piety towards their parents.

 

Next, the couple vowed to uphold the Five Precepts of true Buddhists: refraining from killing, stealing, sexual misconduct, lying, and consuming intoxicants. Simultaneously, the couple vowed to build their married life in the spirit of the Six Harmonies: harmony in body, speech, mind, precepts, views, and benefits. In his Dharma talk, Junior Abbot Thich Tam Truong of Hoang Phap Pagoda explained the application of the Six Harmonies to family life. He emphasized that by listening, understanding, and cultivating loving speech, each person will become a strong support for their partner. Through these values of love and understanding, they can build a happy, peaceful, and lasting marriage.
