The sudden rainy days of October have passed, giving way to beautiful sunny days that mark a new chapter—a journey of love, sharing, and companionship. On October 19th, 2026, Hoang Phap Pagoda held a Buddhist wedding ceremony for couple Dang Tran Dat (Dharma name Phap Duc) and Luong Thi My Duyen (Dharma name Tue Duyen).

At 9:00 a.m., in the main hall, under the solemn witness of the Three Jewels, the monks performed the wedding ceremony for the couple on their momentous day. First, the bride and groom respectfully bowed to the Three Jewels and their parents to express gratitude and filial piety as Buddhist followers. Next, the couple vowed to take refuge in the Three Jewels and uphold the five ethical principles of a true Buddhist: abstaining from killing, stealing, misconduct, lying, and consuming intoxicants. They committed to using these principles as a foundation to build enduring family happiness.

In his Dharma talk, Junior Abbot Thich Tam Truong preached on the spirit of the Six Harmonies taught by the Buddha, which encompass harmony in body, speech, mind, precepts, views, and benefits. Thanks to harmony in thoughts, words, and actions, a married couple can attain true understanding and happiness. Following the teaching, the wedding ceremony concluded amidst the joy of both families.
