"Zero dong market-day" Compassion Spring Program

The approaching Lunar New Year of the Horse 2026 evokes feelings of joy in everyone's hearts. In this festive atmosphere, smiles of abundance, warmth, and happiness radiated at the "Zero-dong Market-day" Compassion Spring Program at Hoang Phap Pagoda on the morning of February 8th, 2026.

This program was first implemented by the Hoang Phap Pagoda Abbot - Junior Thich Tam Truong to create a novel gift-giving activity. The program was honored with the presence of local authorities – the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee (VNFFC) of Hoc Mon Commune.

 

1/ Ms. Le Thi Mong Nghi - Member of the Party Standing Committee (PSC), Vice Chairman of the People's Committee (PC) of Hoc Mon Commune.

2/ Ms. Duong Thi Binh - Member of the PSC, Head of the Party Building Committee of Hoc Mon Commune. 

3/ Ms. Phan Thi Ngoc Quan - Member of the PSC, Chairman of the VNFFC of Hoc Mon Commune.

4/ Mr. Dang Thanh Xuan - Member of the PSC, Permanent Vice Chairman of the VNFFC of Hoc Mon Commune.

 

In addition to the usual Tet gift-giving, the Compassion Spring program created a Spring market atmosphere for participants. This aimed to foster a connection between religious and secular life, between recipients and givers, bringing the spirit of Spring to those in need during the Tet. It also served as a means for people to visit the temple and receive Tet gifts in joyful celebration. The "Zero dong Market-Day" Compassion Spring program and the concerted efforts of monks, donors, and Buddhists in general, successfully fulfilled the mission of "propagating the Dharma and benefiting sentient beings."

 

The program concluded successfully and completely, bringing joy to everyone.
