A Brief Introduction to Hoang Phap Monastery
All the ceremonies and festivals held by Hoang Phap always take the high caring of many people in both quality and scale. The participants moving around tens of thousands of people.
Pray for Peace Ceremony (January 15th, Lunar Calendar): For preserving the Vietnamese custom of going to temple in the first New Year day, also the means to sowing and planning the awakening seed into their mind.
Vesak Ceremony (April 15th, LC): The most important festival of Buddhism in over the world for memorizing a Great Awakening One came to this world: Shakyamuni Buddha. The big scale organization to remind people of the great compassion of the Buddha to all living beings.
Ullambana Festival (July 15th, LC): Is also another important festival of Mahayana Buddhism. Buddhism always focuses on filial piety, therefore this festival is to remind people. Taking Refuge with the Triratna Ceremony: Thrice a year for sending people to Buddhism with the basic foundation of the right faith and practice. Thousands Buddhist followers have been added every year from Hoang Phap.
Grand Master Death Anniversary (October 16th, LC): Time for the monk to get back from various branches. To recall the Grand Master's kindness and to share all the experiences from the experienced ones to the new.
Illumination Ceremony in the Amitabha's Birthday (November 17th, LC): To recall the kindness of the Pureland Buddha, a big illumination ceremony lighted and keep the whole night. Light is symbolic and representative of the wisdom in Buddhism. Lighting candles for expanding Buddhism and preservation Dharma.
