Accepting the invitation of the organization, Senior Thich Phap Dang, Abbot of Hue Vien Pagoda, Thong Nhat District, Dong Nai Province was present at the main lecture hall for answers to all the Buddhists.

Question 1: Could you explain to me about the meaning of chanting? Usually, during the chanting session, one must wear a dignified ritual robe and sit in front of the Buddha's altar. However, for me, because I often go on business trips away from home, at that time I still wanted to chant without a Buddha altar and robe. In that case, if I hold the sutra book and chant silently without following the ritual, have I made mistakes? I sincerely thank you!

May I ask a few things about merits and blessings: What is the difference between merits and blessings? Chanting sutras, reciting the Buddha's, giving alms to sutras, and preaching the dharma will achieve merits, or blessings? How effects do these things have on the cultivators?

As many of the opinions of youtubers also make us misinformed, not knowing what is right and what is wrong.
